2011 NKC LA State Coon Hunt Championship

March 11, 2011

This weekend we traveled to Haughton, LA to compete in the state hunt.  Bandit came in and tied for 1st place with 550+ with no minus points.  Circle points ended up breaking the tie which put Bandit in 2nd place....which we are still very proud of.  Had a great hunt and Bandit was at the top of his game making several split trees, and had the coons. 

2011 NKC MS STATE COON CHAMPION

This week-end we traveled north to Batesville, MS to attend the 2011 NKC MS State Coon Hunt Championship.   I was real excited to see such a good turn out.  This club went out of their way to put on a state chapionship hunt.  This was a two night elimination championship hunt in which Bandit was the high scoring dog each night.   Advancing into the final four saturday night I drew out against another blackmouth cur, Hell Creek Dixie belonging to Jason Newell.  We had one of the best hunts I've been on in some time now. Making 7 trees in a 2 hour hunt was alot of fun.  Bandit was titled the MS State Champion and Dixie finished 3rd.  I was real excited about this since all the others we were hunting against were mountain curs.
